Frequently asked questions

1. What is a country IP?

It is an IP address in a specific country that you reach from anywhere over a private international line. Sites and apps then see a local address, the same as if you were in that country.

2. Which countries are available?

Country IP Lite and Premium cover 11 Asia Pacific countries: Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and India. Country IP Global covers 13 countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Australia, Brazil and Mexico.

3. What is the difference between Lite and Premium?

Both use a private line to an Asia Pacific IP at 35~50 ms. Lite ($6.71 per device a month) is built for SD video and clear calls. Premium ($13.42 per device a month) adds HD video and smooth 3D online games.

4. How fast is Country IP Global?

Global uses a private international line to the Americas, Europe or Oceania with HD video and clear calls. Latency depends on how far you are from the country, so a nearby country responds faster than one on another continent.

5. What is split tunnel?

Split tunnel lets you choose which apps use the country IP. For example, your banking and video apps can use the home IP while your browser and local apps use the connection where you are.

6. How many devices do I need?

One unit covers one device. The minimum is 5 devices on Lite, 3 on Premium and 4 on Global, which keeps every purchase at $30 or more and leaves room for a phone, a laptop and a family member.

7. Can I change the country later?

Each plan is tied to its line, so Lite and Premium use Asia Pacific countries and Global uses the Americas, Europe and Oceania. If you need a country on the other line, buy that plan as well.

8. Do I need a static IP instead?

If you live abroad and want home services, video and calls on a private line, a country IP plan is the better fit. If you need one fixed address for accounts or allowlists, a Static IP is the right choice.

What a country IP is

A country IP plan gives your device an internet address in the country you choose, wherever you are in the world. Your traffic travels over a private international line to that country and leaves the internet there. Sites, apps and services see a local user.

People use it most when they live, study or travel abroad and want their home services to keep working: online banking, public service sites, video platforms, games and calls with family. Teams use it to work with local tools and colleagues as if they were in the office.

ProxyWorld offers three country plans. Country IP Lite and Country IP Premium connect to 11 Asia Pacific countries. Country IP Global connects to 13 countries in the Americas, Europe and Oceania.

Why a private line matters

A normal connection to another continent shares crowded public routes, which shows up as buffering video, delayed calls and lag in games. A private international line carries your traffic on a dedicated route to the country, so the connection stays steady at busy hours.

On the Asia Pacific line, latency is 35~50 ms, quick enough for voice calls, video and online games. On the Global line, latency depends on the distance between you and the country you pick.

The line also keeps the address itself consistent. Your device always reaches the same country through the same route, which helps services that compare each login with the last one. For banking and public service sites, a familiar country and a steady connection make sign in smoother.

The three country plans compared

All three plans use the app on Windows, Android, iOS and macOS, include split tunnel and are priced per device for 30 days.

  • Country IP Lite: private line to an Asia Pacific IP, 35~50 ms, SD video, clear voice and video calls, split tunnel, $6.71 per device a month, minimum 5 devices.
  • Country IP Premium: private line to an Asia Pacific IP, 35~50 ms, HD video, smooth 3D online games, split tunnel, $13.42 per device a month, minimum 3 devices.
  • Country IP Global: private line to the Americas, Europe or Oceania, HD video, clear calls, split tunnel, $8.95 per device a month, minimum 4 devices.

Lite, Premium or Global: how to decide

Start with the country. If home is in Asia Pacific, you choose between Lite and Premium. If home is in the Americas, Europe or Oceania, Global is the plan for you, and it already includes HD video.

Between Lite and Premium, think about video and games. Lite at $6.71 per device covers banking, browsing, messaging and clear voice and video calls, with video in SD. Premium at $13.42 per device adds HD video and smooth 3D online games. A household often mixes the two by buying two orders: Premium for the TV box and the gaming laptop, Lite for phones that mostly call and message.

Think about the minimums too. Lite starts at 5 devices, Premium at 3 and Global at 4, so a small household fits in a single order on each plan.

Countries on each line

The Asia Pacific line, used by Lite and Premium, covers Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and India.

Asia Pacific countries are spread across several time zones, from India at UTC+5:30 to Japan and South Korea at UTC+9, and each has its own cities: Tokyo and Osaka in Japan, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in Vietnam, Mumbai and Chennai in India.

The Global line covers the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Australia, Brazil and Mexico. The countries page lists the cities where each country's IPs are located.

How to choose quantity and period

Count every device that should use the country IP: your phone, a laptop, a tablet and perhaps a family member's phone. Each device is one unit. Your total is the price per device, times the devices, times the months, minus the period discount, rounded down to the cent.

People who live abroad usually pick 180 or 360 days, since a country IP is something they use every day and the 10% or 25% discount adds up. On Premium, a full year for 3 devices works out to about $10.06 per device a month instead of $13.42.

  • Country IP Lite for 5 devices for 30 days: 5 x $6.71 = $33.55.
  • Country IP Lite for 5 devices for 90 days: 5 x $6.71 x 3 months, minus 5% = $95.61.
  • Country IP Premium for 3 devices for 30 days: 3 x $13.42 = $40.26.
  • Country IP Premium for 3 devices for 180 days: 3 x $13.42 x 6 months, minus 10% = $217.40.
  • Country IP Global for 4 devices for 360 days: 4 x $8.95 x 12 months, minus 25% = $322.20.
  • Country IP Premium for 3 devices for 360 days: 3 x $13.42 x 12 months, minus 25% = $362.34.

Setting up your country IP

Create an account in the browser to get your access token, choose the plan, country, number of devices and period, and pay with crypto. The service appears in My services with a login code.

Install the app on each device, enter the login code and connect. Open split tunnel in the app to choose which apps use the country IP. Then visit our free My IP page at /en/my-ip to confirm that the address shows the right country.

A good first test is to turn split tunnel on, add only your banking or video app to the country IP, and leave the browser on your local connection. Open My IP in the browser and then in an app that uses the tunnel: you will see two different countries, which shows the split is working. If an app still shows your local country, close it fully and open it again after connecting.

Everyday uses abroad

Online banking and public services often check where a login comes from and work best from a home address. Video platforms show the catalogue of the country your IP is in, and Premium or Global plays it in HD. Online games connect to local servers with a local IP, and Premium is tuned for smooth 3D games.

Calls benefit too. Voice and video calls between countries stay clear on a private line, which matters for families split across time zones and for teams with colleagues abroad.

Students abroad use country IPs to reach their home university portals and learning platforms. Remote workers use them to open company tools that expect a login from the home country. Parents use them so children abroad can keep watching the same programmes in their own language.

Limits, fair use and related products

Country plans are made for personal use and everyday work from abroad. Bulk email, bulk account creation, attacks and anything illegal are not allowed on any plan. Lite plays video in SD; for HD, choose Premium or Global.

Country plans are built around a steady private route to the country. When you need one fixed, dedicated IP to register on allowlists or keep long-term accounts on, a Static IP in the same country is the better fit.

Static IP plans give you a dedicated address in any of the same 24 countries, from $4.02 per IP a month. Cloud PCs give you a Windows computer in a data center with its own IP, which you can reach by Remote Desktop from anywhere.
